Our first annual Smurf Murph was awesome with 5:30 group and a 6:30 group. Also, with three FNG’s (one FNG was Tin man’s 13 year old daughter who beat most of the men, which included your “Q”), it was great to see new blood.

I have always enjoyed the Murph workout on Memorial Day. I feel it is a great way to remember our brave men and woman servicing our country. Also, with 17 members of the pax going out coffertina after the event it great fellowship. But something I saw this year on twitter was the large number of F3 AO all over the nation did the Murph too and got me feeling that it was cooling being part of something that is much bigger than one pax in Greenville, NC.

For all you young and new guys here is a short history lesson of F3 ENC. Every Memorial Day Monday we do the Murph. What is the Murph?? Will it is an awesome workout, with an awesome meaning ( https://themurphchallenge.com/ please take the time to read about it). But with everything in F3 we are taking the Murph to the next level this year and calling it the “Smurf Murph”. This way we can honor two great men.

So the plan is to meet at Boyd Lee Park at 6:30am on Memorial Day Monday (5/29/17) and do the following:

  • Run a mile
  • 100 pull-ups (fat boy pull-ups do count)
  • 200 Merkins
  • 300 Squats
  • 400 Smurf Jacks – Be Coopstrong
  • Run another mile

We will be doing coffertina after the workout
