My 2.0, Raviner and I drove up to the welcomed sight of 11 PAX finishing up some EC, gettin’ ready for GrowRuck 2.0. 9 more added to their number for a total of 20 men posting in the gloom.

YHC was glad Raviner came with me, since the workout plan had a lot to do with him and our first backpacking trip through the Smoky Mountains (see Moleskin) The coupons were simple: Food and Water, 35 cans or so of beans in our hiking backpack and 30-35 lbs of water in a jerry can.

The Thang:

– Warm up: 12 Mountain Climbers, in cadence, on the curb, because every hiking trip has to have it’s ups (and headaches from your ruck hitting you in the back of the head)
– Started off down the trail lined up in twos, with coupons in the back. The six Indian-shuffled the coupons to the front, dropped them and the new six did the same. Rinse and repeat for duration of Ruck.
– Stopped for 40 or so squats/squat presses with coupons. Lined up facing each other and did 4 squat presses with coupons, starting at the six, and passing the coupons until we reached the front. Pax did squats, in cadence, while they waited for the coupon. Continued our Indian-shuffle into the woods.
