YHC will be going out of town tomorrow for a week so I decided to call my own number and Q the Clydesdales.  There is a core group of PAX who post regularly on Thursdays at Coop Stronghold and there’s been some newcomers as of late which is great to see. There has also been several attempts to capture the booty flag to no avail. The goal of the workout was to challenge all PAX with a full body workout, spell the word Clydesdales with the first letter of each round of exercises and finish by 6:15.  YHC was not sure if that would be possible, thankfully Easy Rider was on hand to keep track of time since he is recovering from surgery and unable to work out. Impressive that he chose to post, it says a lot about the sense of camaraderie throughout F3. Also impressive, was Drive By posting to honor a HC he made to YHC last week even though he wasn’t feeling well.

The Thang:

Mosey to the grassy knoll

C – Circle burp  PAX circled up and started doing high knees. Starting with the Q and going around the circle each PAX, one by one, called out “down” and everyone drops and does a burpee

 

L – Lazy Doras Partners perform 100 Merkins/partner plank, 200 LBCs/partner 6 inches, & 300 Squats/partner squat hold as a team.

 

Y – Your Best Burpee

 

D – Dan Taylors as we traveled to Minges Meadow. DT’s combine 1 squat followed by 4 lunges (alternating legs) in ascending order (maintaining the 1:4, 2:8, 3:12 ratio).

 

E – Elevens  with curkins and squats

 

Mosey back to bus stop at the grassy knoll

 

S – Squats 10 bench squats IC

 

D – Dora 100 irkins 200 dips 300 hallelujahs while partner gallops a lap. This is the point where the mumble chatter started getting loud, one of the PAX asked why we couldn’t do HORSE instead of CLYDESDALES and another said they should have gone to Abu’s workout (can’t think of a better compliment than that).

 

A – ABC’s In a leg lift position, draw the letters of the Alphabet, big capital letters, of course.

 

L – Lt. Danger Lt. Dans plus a merkin. The sequence goes lunge-lunge-squat-merkin from the bus stop to the handicapped parking signs.

 

E – E2K  On your six. Right ankle over the left knee, bring your left elbow to your right knee. Switch. Aka the oblique crunch if you take the right foot and put that on the ground. 5 each leg.

 

S – Suicides –  at the handicapped parking signs run and back petal back, finish at the last sign.

 

! – With 4 minutes to spare, we were able to add an exclamation point. PAX moseyed to the stairway and ran stairs until Easy Rider called time at 6:15, I love it when a plan comes together.
