YHC was given the honor of leading The Commons so I wanted to make sure everyone had a good time and stayed warm during the cold run this morning. What better way to stay warm and have a great start to the morning than getting doughnuts at Krispy Kreme when the hot now sign is on. Thus, the idea of an F3 Krispy Kreme fun run was born and planned for my VQ. We were 13 PAX strong this morning and had a great time.
Warm-up
To warm up, instead of more workouts we began with some stretching and warming up before the run since it was a little chilly out this morning.
The Thang
Starting at the commons we headed down Evans towards Arlington and hopped on the Greenway through to Charles. We made the most of the ups and downs on Charles heading towards Arlington and turning around headed back towards 10th where the Krispy Kreme challenge aspect came into play as we made it through a dozen doughnuts!!! We finished up the run by heading down 10th to Elm and back down 1st to The Commons. Total mileage I recorded was 6.7 miles.
BOM
Prayer for Spinal Tap who twisted his ankle on the run.
Moses (an original Double Respect PAX), will be having quadruple bypass surgery on 12/19.
YHC closed us in prayer.
COT
Gazelle mentioned the wrapping party is coming up on Saturday
There is also feeding the 5000 on the same day
Moleskin
Every time I pull myself out of bed before the sun is up in order to come to an F3 workout, I feel blessed to have found an active group of men to fellowship with. I have not perfected my F3 lingo yet so I’m just making it up as I go, but the lingo is not what I come for, and many times it’s not even the workout (although that is an added perk) it’s the amazing group that F3 is and what it represents. Today’s workout was a blast for most of us…praying for Spinal Tap and his ankle… I found it quite hilarious while we were all outside Krispy Kreme and the FIA running group was running by, likely getting a good laugh at us all standing around a box of doughnuts in the middle of our workout.
