I had no idea it was supposed to rain today!  I knew it was going to be cold and truth be told I wandered on if I was going to be able to, with being sick and not feeling well.  I decided Wednesday to roll with it, decided to post for EC with the other Mother Ruckers and that was that.  Clock Struck 5:30 and we got down to the Nitty Gritty!

Mustache Ride-IC

Good Mornings IC

Line Up at Tree for the following:

Bear Crawl to tree-10 Merkins

Side Bear Crawl to tree- 10 MTN Climbers

Side Bear Crawl to tree- 10 Plank Jacks

Instructions were given to partner up with someone, and the goal was to complete with a partner the list of exercises.  The buy in was to run a loop around the parking lot before you could begin each exercise.  The goal was to try and get to as many as possible, I believe most got half done.  Exercises with partners were as follows:

Exercises
100 Burpees-
  • 60 Goblet Squats-
  • 60 Curl-Press-Extension-
  • 100 Power Merkins-
  • 120 V-Ups with weight-
  • 100 Kettlebell swings
  • 60 High-pulls
  • 50 Alternating Lunges (Pass KB through Legs)
  • 120 Hip thrusters
 40 Chill-Cut Peter Parkers

All exercises were to be done simultaneously, and the focus was on good form and making sure that you hold one another accountable. Directions were start wherever you would like, but most started with the burpees.  I am sure if they knew time would probably expire, most would have waited on the burpees, but I “accidentally” failed to mention time may run out before we are done.

Mosey to the ditch by the parking lot.  I have seen this many times and not having many hills in ENC, I knew I needed to use it for something.  Directions were line up in two lines, bear crawl up and 10 merkins, lap 2 was reverse bear crawl up the hill and finish with 10 merkins.  A good amount of mumble chatter after the reverse bear crawl!

Great workout by all 20 men and good to have a solid group for EC rucking at 4:40.  Lately, I have began rucking much more and posting at The Good Fight to really begin pushing me out of my comfort zone and trying new things.  Attending run workouts and Bootcamps are by no means easy, but seeking different challenges and finding new ways to push yourself is important and helps keep me going.  During the ruck we mentioned our wives wandering why he get up and ruck before a workout, and I told mine “I don’t know”, but truly it is the fellowship.  We are are busy, but also need to make sure we take time to take care of ourselves, just like we do with our wives and 2.0’s.  Keep pushing and finding new ways to step outside your comfort zone, try something new and show up.
