We began our morning with a little EC, also know as the Calm Before the Storm.  (9) PAX showed up at 6 am to begin the journey.  The normal route was taken through downtown, then the campus, over the nipple, and back to the flag.  This Trek was about 3+ miles, which is a great warm up for what was to come.

Warm Up

  • Pledge of Allegiance
  • Ruck to the 4th Street Parking Garage

YHC needed as much time as possible for the event, so this was the only Warm Up planned

The THANG

Once we arrived at our destination, we congregated at the bottom of the parking garage.  This is where we broke in to Groups of three and did a modified DORA.  Each Group was instructed to do 150 reps of whatever exercise the Q told them to perform at each level.  While two were doing the exercises, one Pax would shuffle up the ramp and back until they completed 150.  We did this at all eight levels until we got to the top.  The exercises were as follows:

  • Level 1 – 150 Curls
  • Level 2 – 150 Squats
  • Level 3 – 150 LBCs
  • Level 4 – 150 Overhead Press
  • Level 5 – 150 Lunges (2 is 1)
  • Level 6 – 150 WWII
  • Level 7 – 150 Tricep Ext.
  • Level 8 – 150 Ruck Swings

Once at the top of the Parking Deck YHC explained the significance of the 150 reps x 8 ramps.  Due to the Love Shouldn’t Hurt event today, YHC felt the need to highlight a very disturbing stat. Every minute in the U.S. 20 people are a victim of a domestic violence incident.  Therefore, by the time we finished our workout, 1200 people in the U.S. will have had some sort of dv incident happen to them.  Therefore, each group did 1200 total reps (150×8). Once we finished, we made our way back to the flag where we had 5 minutes to spare and finished with some Mary.
