Today seemed like a good day for a test. YHC was curious about the new GORUCK Team Assessment PT test but didn’t have enough 80# Sandbags to do the full test, so we did the 2-mile run like the old test. 12 studs showed up. Here’s how it went down.

Warm-up: Decided to make it an active warmup to allow each man to increase his heart rate while loosing up the joints. We completed SSH  then ran to the Mt Boyd Lee Rd, then Merkins and Offset Merkins, then ran and Squats. We did Toy Soldiers and Butt Kickers and other Stretch inspired dynamic stretches in between. This was not a stand around and hold your tricep kind of warmup stretch.

The Thang: Here’s a video from Ruck.Beer outlining each exercise – https://ruck.beer/testing-the-new-goruck-team-assessment-pt-standards/   We partnered up to start with Hand Release Merkins to the Team Assessment Standards for 1-min with a Flap Jack. The partner keeps count and accountability. Next we did 1-min butterfly sit ups. One partner at a time.

Next we did a 2-mile run and with 19-min left started a CoP/Mary chosen by the pax.

BOM/COT: Hineys mom’s friend and family; Sheetz family and baby Asher; Bono’s bride and MIL; prayers for our kids and thoughts of Suicide – there is No OYO.

Moleskin: We worked hard. We tested ourselves.
