About two months ago, Cousin It asked some of the OGs when the last time we posted at a Boot Camp. YHC got inspired and signed up to Q four workouts at the beginning of Dec. Then IT and YHC talked about co-site Qing an AO together. The goal was to make sure the culture of F3ENC will stay strong. 13 studs posted this morning.

Warm-up – One of the traditions of Blastoff is to repeat the Mission of F3 together. We did OK. Then we did the following to get started: Follow me to the circle; SSH; squats; merkins; Don Quixote; Imperial Walkers

The Thang – The Lt Dan is an old Charlie Brown favorite. He loved doing this to the pax and it just felt right this morning. Start at the circle and Lt Dan to your car. Now you will figure out where to park. First ones finished choose the exercise to honor the 6. Bookworm made sure everyone knew how to get the full range of motion in a Hallelujah.

Modified Quarter Pounder

  • Sprint to the 25 yards to the first cone and Do 25 merkins, Run backwards to the Start
  • Sprint to the 50 and do 50 squats, Backwards to Start
  • Sprint to the 75 and do 75 Plank Jacks, Run backwards to the start
  • Sprint to the hundred and do 100 SSH, backwards to the start

Because your legs were warmed up we did some  Wimpie Legs at the Flag> Mule Kicks; Jump Squats; Jump Lunges x 3 sets

Push past failure – Last week Cousin IT showed YHC what it was like to push yourself past failure. We did the following in cadence until the Q stopped. Tater showed up after getting off work, with his gun. He did one burpee for Moses with us.

  • Merkins
  • Sit-ups
  • J-Los because String Bean asked
  • 1 Burpee for Moses

COT/BOM – There are many TAPs lifted up across the region and Nation. Today was about beginning that journey to push past comfort, through pain, into improvement. We will all fail at some time, that is how leaders learn. A man only truly fails by quitting. Otherwise, what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger, according to Nietzsche.

Moleskin – Today’s workout was kinda like the big picture vision for what Blastoff will become: an Ode to the past while pushing towards the future. The first part of the workout were old school routines that YHC loves to hate. The middle was borrowed from a neighboring region, Carterico. The end was a challenge to push further than previously possible.

If you come to Blastoff you will learn the Mission. You will improve your merkins, you will improve your sit-ups, you will improve your burpees, you will improve your mile speed. How much depends on how hard your push yourself past failure into success.
