PAIN. Do you miss Abu?

YHC’s goal was to make the PAX miss Abu. That would require a lot of leakage and pain.

Arrived 6:53am. A few PAX were already there conducting mumble chatter. To my horror, I realized that the speaker did not charge overnight. YHC knew this would not be a a pleasant revelation for the PAX. But the show must go on!

THE THANG

• Warm up (IC 10x) – SSH, Squats, Good mornings, Burpees (5x)
• The Pain – The goal of F3 is to get 1% better everyday. In the spirit of this, each round of exercises would increase by one repetition. The end goal was to make it to 20 reps… no one made it. After each round, a 150 yard run (down & back). All exercises, but Swings, started at 5 reps and went up. The exercises were the following:
  • Goblet Squat
  • Overhead Press (Each arm)
  • Swings (10x, then when other exercises reach 10x, go up by 1 as well)
  • American Hammers (3 count = 1)
  • Switch Merkins (one hand on kettlebell, one off, merkin and then switch hands on the kettlebell and perform merkin = 1)
  • Prisoner Get Ups

As expected, mumble chatter was plentiful in regards to the complexity of the workout. FNG Joe Friday (Breezy 2.0) suggested that I bring a whiteboard next time I want to try and be extra – YHC just might, but at a cost to the PAX who attend. A pleasant surprise was the the lack of tunes forced the PAX to mumble chatter throughout the workout and have a great time. Giuliani is a HIM and had the most reps when we finished. The Switch Merkins and Prisoner Get Ups were tough – YHC’s M was actually the one who suggested the Prisoner Get Ups. She is partly responsible for the pain felt by the PAX. At 8 months pregnant she would have still completed more reps than YHC. She is a beast. Either way, the 1000-calorie BLB streak continued for YHC.

Prayer Requests: 

• Slim Jim’s 2.0 and M – induced at 8am this morning. Prayers for a healthy delivery and 3.0 (not sure if that is correct lexicon but it sounds right to YHC)
• Bill Nye and M – M’s uncle is fighting cancer again. T-cells are up.
• Giuliani’s Uncle – day 188 (or so) in the hospital on trach. Can write on a whiteboard now and is cursing people out. Prayers that no issues with insurance arise.
• Cold Cut’s brother – brain surgery and has been placed on a feeding tube
• YHC’s M – soon to be 3 weeks out from delivery. Prayers for no complications and a healthy 2.0
