Stern asked me a couple of weeks ago if I would Q at BLP.  He gave me a couple of dates to choose from so of course I chose to Q two days after I returned from a quick island getaway to the Bahamas.  I go from sitting on a hot beach on Sunday to driving home in snow on Monday, nice.  Being the sharing kind of guy I am I decided to bring some of the island back with me for the PAX.

Warmup:
SSH – 20 IC
Good Mornings – 10 IC
Cotton pickers – 10 IC

The THANG:
To get the PAX into the island mood I brought my portable speaker and cranked out some Harry Belafonte’s favorite hits.

With the music soothing the soul we began with some Island Hopping.  This consisted of bear crawling to three different points to form the Bermuda Triangle.  At each corner 5 Merkins were done.

After a little island hopping it was time to cool off with some drinks.  YHC had placed various “ingredients” around BLP prior to the workout.  The PAX job was to mosey where each ingredient was and perform a predetermined exercise.  Virgin drinks were also available.

First drink, Piña Colada – The pineapple and coconut juice were at the playground.  PAX had to do 11’s consisting of mountain climbers and pull-ups.  The “rum”, or 151, was at the small circle near the building entrance.  The workout here was 1 burpee, 5 squats, and 1 more burpee.

Drink two, Miami Vice – Much like the Piña Colada except with the addition of strawberry daiquiri.  The “strawberries” were located between the two left most fields.  From here the PAX partnered up for DORA 1-2-3, modified.  50 Merkins, 100 LBC’s, and 150 squats.

Third drink, Screw driver – The orange juice was located at the end of the parking lot.  The exercise was Superman Yellow Sun and Red Sun, IC.  From here the “vodka” was located at the picnic tables.  The exercise consisted of tricep dips while holding one leg up.  IC and 20 each leg.

Last drink, Crown on the rocks – A quick mosey to the rock pile where the PAX chose a rock.  We started with American hammers IC x 15, Rows IC x 15, Tricep extensions IC x 15, Curls IC x 15.

With only a few minutes left we moseyed back to the flag for some Mary.

Announcements:
Cousin IT has the Q and his 1000th post on Friday at West Side
F3 Camporee May 4, 5 to be at the Refuge in Greene County

Moleskin:
Time didn’t allow for me to get to all of the activities I had planned, I’ll have to save those for next time.  Thanks to the PAX for having my back and taking over some of the Mary as I was feeling the effects of a two week layoff and maybe a little jet lag.
