The Thang

One mile ruck, 15 minute time hack. If time hack is made, only 50 reps of the given exercise. If the time hack was not made, 100 reps.

First lap was a success, finished the mile in 14:49. 50 merkins were performed OYO in sets of ten with a little 10 yard shuffle in between sets.

Second mile was not a success, with the last PAX finishing the second mile in about 15:20. 100 squats were performed OYO in sets of ten with a shuffle across the basketball court in between sets.

We finished out by rucking back to the flag, another .75 miles.

When I Q at Ruck Ready, i’m looking to achieve a good mix of mileage and heavy PT. Today I wanted to push the pace without doing too much shuffling for the PAX ankle health. The pace was good but the PT was light and in hindsight it was too light, should have done more. I do like that format though, a time hack with a penalty. However, one hour of rucking limits how much PT you can do if you’re going for a mile in between each stop. Maybe half miles next time. Oh well, live and learn. Grout out.
