I didn’t sleep well at all last night and I didn’t feel well when getting up and going to the workout.  If I wasn’t the Q this morning I would have stayed in the fartsack for a few more Zzzs.  No matter how bad I felt I wasn’t going to bail on a Q at the last minute.  I had decided about a week ago I was going to do the deck of death.  After a warm up of SSHs, merkins and lap around the track at Boyd Lee we got into the workout.

Spades = Squats

Clubs = Freddie Mercurys

Hearts = Merkins

Diamonds = Plank Jacks.

For the numbered cards we did amount of reps of the number on the card.  For the face cards we increased the reps up one each to the maximum amount of 14 for the aces.  We might have done 15 reps a couple of times for my lack of counting skills that early in the morning.  There were 2 joker in the pack and they were worth 10 burpees each.  Approximately halfway through we broke it up with a lap around the park.  We wrapped up the workout with a set of flutter kicks, dollys and 5 burpees.

I’m glad I sucked it up and came to the workout.  I felt much better when it was over.  Good workout by everyone.  Strong showing for a cold January morning.
