It’s been many moons since YHC has Q’d the #AO where he was the first Site Q. It (not me, Cousin IT, #RunStrong) started out with a small number of PAX as F3ENC did about 3 years ago. Other OG’s like The Closed Hand, Tonka, and YHC were meeting to run on off Bootcamp days. Tonka was kind enough to tell YHC where the site was gonna be and when it would begin. So it was 2 years ago this AO got cranking. The first challenge, it’s a good 15 minutes from the Humble Abode in #TheGloom. PAX knew YHC would be coming, but would rarely be the 1st one there. The second challenge, find other guys that would enjoy/endure running. The site started getting stronger, but know it was a coveted site now. String Bean got first crack at it, he delivered many memorable workouts for months (Time Clock Sessions, Silver Bullet Runs, Football, etc). The torch is now being carried by Abu, don’t think The Closed Hand saw him yesterday because he said there were no professionals here. YHC has hopes that Abu will make YHC’s legs young again so YHC can keep pace (he makes everything seem effortless). He may be one of the only Site Q’s right now where he’s got Q’s lined up. The easy part for him, he hasn’t even had to ask. YHC hopes this workout will allow us all to push ourselves and keep Abu (Hat Trick and G String too, if they show) in sight.

Warm-up
Mosey to the 10s courts, keep the PAX safe from Women Drivers
Line Up and do the following Down and Back:
High Knees
Butt Kickers
Side Shuffle

Found out some FNG’s joined, so a disclaimer was given.

The Thang
Start with Scout Run down Elm Street Park Hill to Greenway, Across 10th Street and up Forrest Hill Circle, Left onto 6th, Left onto Elm, Left onto 10th back to Forrest Hill Circle.

Next Run will be Partner Push, Up Forrest Hill Circle, Left onto 6th, Left onto Ernul and down, Left onto 10th, Right onto Oak and up, Left onto 6th, Left onto Elm and down, Return for the Six once you arrive at 10th Street.

Next Run will be Indian Run, reverse course of the Scout Run to corner of Brookgreen and Elm.

2 times up (starting together) on Brookgreen from Elm up to Longmeadow and back down. Squats and Toe Taps for the Six. Yes, Tonka Toe Taps because YHC respected The Closed Hand (doesn’t like lunges, didn’t think he liked Burpees either, but…) Asked DEWD for a 10 count in between the 2 times up. Apparently, The Closed Hand 10 count rubbed off on him, so up we went.

The Closed Hand was/is the “Boy Scout.” He saw something that he wanted to explore and give away. He posted in on a Facebook Run Group and caught my eye. He, unfortunately for some ladies in the group, caught their eye. They were jealous because there was no FIA or option for them. I did not know who this Denton Hardee guy was (now I know he’s a beast, running to AO’s, etc.) or never heard of F3. I watched a few videos and thought the concept was cool. I immediately headlocked 3 guys to attend with me on my first post (Mellow Johnny, Tool, and Early Bird). I had a steady workout group that had just died due to the owner changing locations, but I was trying to be the boy scout and revive it. My M was enthused about this new opportunity because my old group was mainly ladies and this was just guys. What the Boy Scout/The Closed Hand started as a Spark, others such as MJ, EB, Tonka, and I attempted to keep the fire going. Once the group found out about Papa Smurf and the Gang, it was the Gasoline that we needed to fuel the fire. You that are reading this are a Spark or a Log, what will you do to keep the fire going?

Awesome to have the Mall Walkers of ENC (Shrimp, King Pin, Splinter, & Hokie) join us. Charlie Brown must have been Sleep Walking.

Tonka and Abu through some water on themselves to make it look like they did some Extra Credit, good work guys!

Yes Hat Trick and G String showed for the 2nd in as many days, #SuperPlank??? They actually followed directions too. Today I called a Switzer (as learned in Grow Ruck) and it appears some never ever played backyard football (they were out for a short route before the huddle broke). We always need to be aware of our six, no matter where we are or what we are doing. The first 2 run sessions we did good, but failed our six. As men we can make one of 2 choices, learn and move on or fail again. The next movement was much better, but not easy due to distance. In life things aren’t easy like slow toe taps, but if you want to be better you have to work for it…
